Who Are We

Dani (the Leather Lady) and Dave (The WiFi Guy), standing outside the DD Practical leather stall at a uk festival. It is gloriously sunny, the sky is blue and the grass is a lush green. Dani is wearing a stripy rainbow sweater and stripy rainbow trousers; she is leaning on her transparent blue walking stick. Dave has his arm around Dani and is wearing a dark blue hoodie and black combat trousers. They are both looking directly at the camera and smiling.

The WiFi Wagon brings reliable, affordable internet connectivity to festival traders—so you can focus on what you do best: serving your customers.

What do we do?

We operate a professional WiFi mesh network built into our van and deployed at festivals across the UK. Our system prioritises what matters most: fast, reliable card payment processing. When traders need to take payments, your transactions go through. Full stop.

We charge affordable rates—significantly cheaper than most festival WiFi providers—because we’ve kept our overheads lean and built The WiFi Wagon alongside DD Practical Leathercraft, our sister leather goods business.

Who are we?

We’re festival traders ourselves. Dave and Dani (The Leather Lady, who runs DD Practical Leathercraft) got frustrated by unreliable connectivity at events. We needed a solution, so we invested in Starlink and built a system from the ground up. What started as sharing our connection with trader friends has evolved into a professional, scalable service—but we haven’t lost sight of what matters: understanding trader needs because we live them.

What Sets Us Apart

  • Onsite support: I’m here to help you connect, troubleshoot, and keep trading without interruption
  • Payment-first network: Our system prioritises upload speeds for card transactions—public traffic gets queued if needed
  • Friendly and approachable: No jargon, no corporate gatekeeping. Just WiFi that works
  • LGBTQ+ allies: We’re committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming space for all traders
  • Low cost, high reliability: Our dual-business model means we can offer better pricing without compromising quality
  • Powered by sun and batteries: Our entire system runs on solar panels and leisure batteries mounted on the van—ready to deploy in seconds

Our System

Everything you need is built into the van. We deploy our first mesh node in seconds, and can extend coverage up to 100m using Cat 5 cabling or POE adapters from your power supply. Professional-grade equipment, simple setup, zero hassle.

The WiFi Wagon: WiFi for traders, by traders.
